Arethel is an enchanter and the representative of the Ancient and Honorable Collective of Arcane Individuals (called ‘the Collective’) in Glacadh. The Collective is a magical trading house which has branches in many of the larger cities and towns in this world and the Feywild (it has recently opened two branches in the Shadowfell). Each branch has a circle of enchanters which can usually keep up with any minor item needs, and has access to the main network, which can provide or arrange higher level items in a reasonable amount of time. Arethel herself is the lead enchanter for the Glacadh branch, and she takes an active role in the administrative duties of the branch.
Arethel is an attractive eladrin woman of middle years. She has little muscle tone, so is pretty skinny, and prefers to wear her blond hair pulled back in a ponytail that reaches her middle back. She does have striking green eyes.
Quentin met her at one of Doromin’s dinners, and they are becoming fast friends.The cheerful and social Arethel that Quentin knows is a change from the quiet buisness woman she was just two years ago. The change has been much applauded by those who care about her and attributed to her frequent dinner companion Cainus Galkeen. Cainus is a tall one-eyed half elf who listens far more than he speaks, but has shown a great depth of talent as a musician, poet, and artist (almost always in pastels, and frequently of Arethel). In addition, whenever he raises his glass in a toast, conversations quiet. His toasts are poetic and meaningful and guaranteed to ignite the richest conversations of the evening.
